The provider recently upped the limit from five devices to 12 in a bid to make privacy and security accessible to all.

StrongVPN announced in a recent blog post on its website that it now supports up to 12 simultaneous connections from a single VPN account; a marked increase from its previous allowance of five devices.

This welcome development means that users can now protect their family’s devices as well as their own, without having to sacrifice the privacy of one for the sake of another. It’s also good news for those that are unable to install StrongVPN on their router.

A limit of 12 simultaneous connections puts StrongVPN well above the average provider in terms of compatibility, with the typical range anywhere between three and six. There are a couple of exceptions that actually allow an unlimited number of users to connect to the VPN at any given time, such as Windscribe, but these are few and far between.

We would usually expect a price increase with this sort of development, but thankfully this hasn’t yet happened with StrongVPN. If you sign up for the annual plan, it’ll only set you back $5.83 per month, which is very reasonable considering the new-found benefits that come with a higher connection limit.

Doug Haden, head of StrongVPN’s customer support team, said that StrongVPN “makes it a priority” to adapt to suit customers’ growing and changing needs. He also added: “This latest update gives us the ability to expand our privacy and security across more devices per customer, creating a broader, more secure product for all to benefit from”.

StrongVPN remains one of the highest-rated VPNs on Top10VPN.com, boasting a solid set of privacy features and a strict zero-logs policy. It allows you to connect securely to 26 countries worldwide and even watch your favorite shows on popular sites such as Netflix – you can check out our independent review of the service here.
