VyprVPN offers a three-day free trial on iOS and Android devices, but a better option is its 30-day money-back guarantee. This lets you use VyprVPN for free for up to a month. In this guide, we explain exactly how you can claim these offers.

VyprVPN is a highly secure VPN service created by the team at Golden Frog. It isn’t the fastest VPN around, but its verified zero-logs policy and self-owned DNS server network make it one of the best VPNs for privacy.

VyprVPN usually costs $1.66 a month, but you also trial it for free. For this, you have two options:

  1. A three-day free trial: Available on Android and iOS devices.
  2. A 30-day money-back guarantee: Available on all devices.

The difference is mostly to do with billing. With a free trial, you aren’t charged until after the trial period has expired.

With a money-back guarantee, you pay for the subscription up front, but then you can claim a full, risk-free refund within the first month.

The proper VyprVPN free trial lasts three days and is only available to iOS and Android users.

To claim the free trial, you need to download the VyprVPN app directly from the Google Play or App Store. You’ll then be automatically signed up for the free trial period.

Make sure to cancel the trial before the three days are up, though. Otherwise you’ll be charged for the subscription.

Here are step-by-step instructions for how to get a VyprVPN free trial on:

  7. Before you start using VyprVPN, it’s best to cancel your free trial so you don’t accidentally end up paying for the service at the end of the three days.

To do this, go back to the App Store and select your account profile logo in the top-right corner.

  9. Choose VyprVPN from the list of apps. Select Cancel Free Trial and then Confirm. You’ll still have access to the VPN until the trial period finishes, and you won’t be charged at all.

How to Claim VyprVPN’s 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Screenshot of VyprVPN's 30-day money-back guarantee

If three days doesn’t feel like long enough to fully test out a VPN service, then VyprVPN’s money-back guarantee is the best option for you. It’s completely risk-free, and lets you use VyprVPN free of charge for up to 30 days.

Before the 30 days are up, simply request a full refund from the VyprVPN customer support team. They assure us that every user will get their money back, “no questions asked”.

The money should take around 7-10 days to reach your account.

To use VyprVPN for free for up to a month:

  1. Go to the VyprVPN website and click “Buy Now”. Don’t go through the Google Play Store or iTunes/App Store because you then won’t be eligible for the money-back guarantee.
  2. Choose a payment plan and enter your details to create an account. We’d recommend selecting the 1-month plan because it’s the cheapest up front cost.
  3. Download the VyprVPN app onto the device(s) you want to protect. You’re allowed up to five simultaneous connections with one subscription.
  4. Once the app is downloaded and installed, you’re ready to start browsing privately and safely. You’ll have 30 days of unrestricted access to VyprVPN’s servers. Read our complete guide to what you can do with a VPN for ideas.
  5. Before the 30 days are over, you’ll need to cancel and claim your refund. If you used PayPal to pay, don’t initiate the refund through PayPal, as this will just delay the process.
  6. Go to the VyprVPN Customer Support Live Chat. You can also email, if you’d prefer.
  7. Click the Support box in the bottom-right corner and type in “refund”. Ignore the guide links, and click on the ‘Live Chat’ button at the bottom.
  8. Input your details and select ‘Start Chat’.
  9. You’ll be taken to a VyprVPN customer support agent who will process your refund. They may ask you some questions about why you’re cancelling your subscription, but they won’t reject your request as long as you’re inside the 30-day refund period.

EXPERT TIP: VyprVPN immediately ends your access to the service when you cancel your subscription. You should wait for as long as possible before claiming your refund to maximize the trial period.

Should You Choose VyprVPN?

VyprVPN is a good-quality VPN service that is especially strong in areas of security and privacy. It has a verified no-logs policy, an impressive self-owned server network, and an extensive in-house DNS service.

In short, VyprVPN is one of the safest VPNs around.

Unfortunately, VyprVPN’s connection speeds let it down. While it’s certainly improved over the years, the service is still considerably slower than most of our top-rated VPNs.

Here’s how VyprVPN’s speeds compare against the three fastest VPNs in 2021, on a New York to New York connection:

If you can cope with slower speeds, then VyprVPN is a great choice of VPN. You can use it to stream American Netflix from anywhere in the world, and its proprietary Chameleon protocol is very effective at bypassing censorship and website blocks.
