DAZN is available in over 200 countries, but each one has its own library of sporting events and competitions, due to the licensing agreements made between DAZN and content owners around the world.

How to Create a VPN-Compatible DAZN Account

To access multiple DAZN libraries with a VPN, your DAZN account must be registered in one of the following countries:

Austria
Canada
Germany
Italy
Japan
Spain
Switzerland
USA

We found that if your account was created anywhere else, such as the UK or Australia, DAZN will block you from streaming content unavailable in your home region.

We’ve outlined the different ways to sign up for a VPN-compatible DAZN account from anywhere below:

1. If You’re in a Supported Country

Here’s how to create a DAZN account from your home country:

Go to the DAZN website and create an account: We suggest signing up for the annual subscription plan.
Enter your preferred payment details: You can choose between your credit and debit card, or PayPal account.
Click ‘Start Subscription’.
You now have full access to DAZN.

Note: If you sign up for an account from your home country of Austria, Italy, Germany, or Spain, you’ll be subject to the EU cross-border portability regulation.

This means you won’t be able to stream the DAZN library of any other EU country. This same restriction does not apply to accounts outside of the EU, or any created using gift card codes.

2. If You’re Not in a Supported Country

Here’s how to create a DAZN account via the App Store or Google Play:

Subscribe to a VPN service: We recommend ExpressVPN for most users.
Download the VPN app from Google Play or the App Store.
Connect to a US VPN server.
Depending on your device, create a new US Apple ID or Google Account: Then, log in to this account.
Purchase a US App Store or Google Play Store gift card: These are available from the US Amazon store.
Redeem the gift card to your new US-based Apple or Google account: Ensure this is credited to your account in US dollars.
Download DAZN from the app store.
Sign up for and subscribe to DAZN in the app: Make sure to use your US gift card as payment.
You can now stream DAZN from anywhere: Connect to a VPN server in a different country to access its DAZN library.

3. If You Want to Access the Premier League

To watch the Premier League on DAZN Spain, you will need a Spanish DAZN account.

This is different from DAZN’s other libraries, where you can change between them without restrictions.

Here’s how to create a Spanish DAZN account from anywhere to stream the EPL:

Merely bypassing DAZN’s geo-blocks isn’t enough. A VPN must also be fast enough to stream content in high-resolution, without any buffering or lag.

Here are the download speeds that DAZN requires:

Honestly, using ExpressVPN’s apps was a breeze and, differently to many other VPNs, connections to server locations are instant.

The one thing to point out is that switching library wasn’t immediate. We often had to refresh DAZN’s website and app a couple of times before our region changed.

The same thing happened with Windscribe, and it’s an annoying issue on DAZN’s end rather than the VPN’s.

The only slight disappointment with ExpressVPN is that its Smart DNS solution (MediaStreamer) didn’t work with DAZN. That meant that to unblock DAZN on our PlayStation, for example, we had to use the VPN’s dedicated router app.

Windscribe is a good alternative to ExpressVPN, in the sense that it’s the only other VPN that unblocks all popular DAZN regions.

However, Windscribe can’t compete in terms of speed, usability, or device compatibility. The biggest frustration were its fluctuating speeds that considerably affected the picture quality.

On the plus side, Windscribe offers a completely free service that amazingly still works with DAZN’s US and Canadian catalogs.

Just like ExpressVPN, Windscribe gave us access to all 12 of the most popular and content-rich DAZN regions we test for.

We achieved these phenomenal results through the VPN’s software for Windows, macoS, iOS, Android, Fire TV Stick, and Apple TV.

But, while Windscribe’s ability to bypass DAZN’s geo-blocks is formidable, its streaming performance isn’t. The blurriness we often experienced, especially during live streams, was at times extremely frustrating.

Moreover, Windscribe doesn’t have the same device compatibility offered by ExpressVPN. The lack of a router app does make it trickier to use the VPN on certain devices, like Smart TVs and games consoles.

Free Version Works with DAZN Canada

Something that Windscribe offers that ExpressVPN doesn’t, is a completely free service that works with some DAZN libraries.

In fact, what really stands out about the free VPN is that it unblocked the Canada, USA, Germany, and Switzerland libraries! No other free VPN can do this.

This gave us access to many geo-restricted sporting events and competitions, including out-of-market NFL games, the NBA, and even the Champions League.

All of Windscribe’s free apps are ad-free, simple to use, and deliver surprising good speeds for a free service.

There is a major drawback, though: you only get 10GB of free bandwidth each month.

This equates to roughly four hours of HD streaming, which is fine to stream the occasional game, but not for frequent viewing.

All in all, the free service is clearly impressive, however it doesn’t come close to unblocking the same number of regions as Windscribe’s paid product.

How to Bypass DAZN Error Codes

DAZN attempts to block VPN connections in order to comply with its territorial licensing agreements.

Live sports licensing restrictions are strict, so DAZN prevents access from any IP address known to belong to a VPN service.

In many years of testing VPNs with streaming services, DAZN’s VPN blocking systems are some of the most aggressive we’ve seen.

Here’s how to bypass the four most common DAZN error messages:

“DAZN Isn’t Available in This Country”

DAZN displays this error message when it detects you are using a VPN. To get around this, use one of the VPNs we recommend.

DAZN Error Code 50-006-403: “Your DAZN Account Is Not Available in Your Current Location”

You’ll see the message above when trying to unblock DAZN with an account registered outside one of these eight countries.

If you set up your account elsewhere, such as the UK, you will only be able to access the UK DAZN library.

To fix this, subscribe to ExpressVPN and create an account from one of the eight working countries. You can see a step-by-step guide on how to do this here.

DAZN Error Code 50-075-403: “We Believe You Are Accessing DAZN Using a VPN”

The error message that is displayed when DAZN detects a VPN at registration You will see this message if DAZN detects you are using a VPN when purchasing a subscription. This happens because, unlike other streaming services, DAZN uses additional VPN checks when you are making a payment.

This is stricter than the standard geo-blocks placed on content. So even VPNs that regularly work with DAZN sometimes fail at this stage.

To bypass this error code, we recommend using Windscribe’s free plan to create a DAZN account, and then using ExpressVPN to stream DAZN.

ExpressVPN is much faster than Windscribe. It also unblocks the most popular DAZN regions.

Similarly, if you don’t want to change your current VPN, use Windscribe’s free tier to register for DAZN, then switch back to your usual VPN service once your DAZN account is set up.

DAZN Error Code 10-000-0: “No Key Found!”

You will only see the 10-000-0 error when DAZN detects you are using a VPN while logging into the website. However, once signed in, your VPN will still work for streaming.

To fix this, connect to a free Windscribe server and sign in to DAZN. Once you’re logged in, connect to the original VPN server you tried. You will now be able to access DAZN.

DAZN Error Code 51-132-403: “We Are Unable to Create an Account for You at This Time”

Same as the above, you will see this error message when DAZN realizes you are using a VPN when creating an account.

To get around this, you’ll have to subscribe to ExpressVPN and create a US Apple ID or Google account. Then, purchase a US App Store or Google Play gift card and subscribe to DAZN this way. See how to do this by following our instructions.

DAZN Error: Locked Content

When viewing content that’s available outside of your account region, DAZN will display a padlock badge. It will not let you stream this content.

The will occur only if you’re trying to stream DAZN Spain content with a DAZN account registered outside of Spain.

To work around this, you will need to create a new DAZN account that’s registered in Spain.

EXPERT ADVICE: We recommend you first create a DAZN account using the free version of Windscribe and connecting to its US server.

What You Can Watch on DAZN with a VPN

As we explained, DAZN shows different sport and competitions based on your country. The amount of content available in each region varies wildly, too.

For instance, the US DAZN library contains just 19 major competitions, while the German library has 94!

No DAZN library contains all sport and all competitions, so you have to use a combination of regions to access all content.

The VPNs we recommend allow you to do this by geo-spoofing your location to whichever DAZN library contains the (live) content you want to stream.

As the table shows, DAZN Canada offers the most popular sports and competitions. This includes broadcasts of live Champions League matches, all NFL games, important Cricket matches, and most boxing fights.

DAZN Canada is also the most accessible library, with five of the VPNs we tested able to unblock it.

That said, you will need access to several catalogs to stream all of DAZN’s popular sports events. For example, the Canadian library doesn’t show live Formula 1 races, Premier League games, the NHL, and Grand Slam tennis.

If you want to access all DAZN content, you’ll need to use Windscribe, as it was the only VPN to work in every region we tested.

Don’t worry though, you only need one VPN subscription and one DAZN subscription to access all those libraries. You can change between them as often as you like.

Is Watching DAZN with a VPN Legal?

While DAZN doesn’t support the use of VPNS, it is not illegal to use a VPN with the streaming service. There is no law that prevents you from changing your virtual location to access different DAZN regions.

In short, you will not face any punishment from law enforcement for using a VPN with DAZN.

Using a VPN is also not against DAZN’s Terms of Use, as the use of VPNs is not mentioned anywhere in the document.

What Are the Best DAZN Regions?

It’s hard to say exactly which DAZN regions are best as it depends on the sport you want to watch.

That said, given the richness of their catalogs, DAZN Canada and Germany are usually considered the best to access.

What Devices Can I Unblock DAZN On?

Our method for unblocking DAZN with a VPN works on all major devices. This includes Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. It also works on some streaming devices, such as Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, and Chromecast with Google TV.

Sadly, though, there is no easy way to unblock DAZN on devices that don’t allow VPN apps, such as Roku.

You’ll have to either set up a VPN on your home router, or use a HDMI cable to connect your computer directly to your TV.

How Many Devices Can I Use with DAZN?

DAZN only allows you to stream on up to two devices at one time. All the VPNs we recommend in this guide allow at least five simultaneous devices, so you can watch DAZN on two screens using the same VPN subscription.

Can I Get a DAZN Free Trial?

DAZN offered free trials in the past in the form of limited-time deals. For instance, they offered them in Canada and in Japan.

We haven’t seen any free trial offers recently, but DAZN has launched a Freemium plan that gives you access to some content for free, including the upcoming FIFA World Club Cup.
