FAQs

Will I Get Banned for Using a VPN with PUBG?

No, it’s very unlikely you’ll be banned simply for playing PUBG with a VPN.

The higher-risk activities are exploiting regional pricing and masking cheats.

If you change region to buy cheaper UC or Battle Passes, you’re taking revenue away from PUBG’s developers, and that’s one of the primary reasons behind permanent account bans.

Using a VPN alongside third-party software like aimbots and wallhacks won’t protect you either. Worse, many anti-cheat systems actively flag VPN IP addresses.

Will a VPN Make PUBG Lag?

It depends where you connect to. The further your traffic has to travel, the higher the risk of lag.

A GPN (gaming private network) is better suited to avoiding lag, but it won’t get you into easier lobbies or unlock region-locked content.

Can I Use a VPN for Crate Opening?

Yes, you can use a VPN to bypass geo-restrictions on PUBG crates.

If you live in the Netherlands or Belgium you can’t open crates on your PUBG account, and there are restrictions in Brazil and Poland too.

Creating a new PUBG account while connected to a VPN server in a different country gets around this. Just bear in mind the warning above about leaning on regional workarounds too heavily.

Should I Use a VPN or a GPN with PUBG?

It comes down to what you’re trying to do.

Use a VPN if you want to bypass regional restrictions or reach easier matchmaking brackets.

Use a GPN (like ExitLag) if you only care about performance and want to cut lag, jitter, and packet loss.
